Raising awareness and funds for MS

We are raising money for good causes at Clarriots and as part of that, I am running the Great Manchester Run 2012 on 20th May.
I am running this event to raise awareness and funds for the MS Society. I have family that are currently living with MS, we have clients that are currently living with MS and we used to have a client (and friend) called Jenny Ranshaw who sadly passed away with MS.
MS (short for Multiple sclerosis) is a neurological condition which affects around 100,000 people in the UK. This condition can affect young and old people but most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 to 40.

Clarriots launch new staff incentive

We have launched a new fantastic incentive for all our staff... AA Breakdown cover for all. And it's not the basic cover, its national roadside rescue, home start, roadside relay and a courtesy car when theres if off the road. We are all very pleased that this new incentive has been introduced. We are the first homecare company in the area to offer such an incentive.
But wait... there are more incentives to come! Watch this space!
Company phones scheme launched for Clarriots staff

We are launching a Company Mobile Phone scheme next week to make it safer for our staff to work alone in the community. Although our staff are not always alone, for instance, we work with a lot of other professionals such as District Nurses and Social Workers, our team are alone at various times of the day and late evening.
We take the safety of our team very seriously and that is why we have launched our Company Mobile Phone scheme. All our company mobile phones have built in panic buttons for the added safety of our team.
Our staff also have the added benefit that all the calls to their colleagues and the office are free, something not many other companies can offer. We are embracing technology at Clarriots to make the services we provide safer, better and easier.
World Autism Day- 2nd April
World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) is on Monday 2 April and there are loads of ways you can show your support.
Here are three great ideas:
- update your Facebook status to tell your friends you are supporting World Autism Awareness Day
- raise awareness in your community by telling someone about your experience of autism
- host your own fundraising event for the NAS or get involved in the WAAD Skydive.
